I’m Giving Up.

It’s so easy right! It doesn’t work out the way we want, so we just give up and walk away. Or how about, “This is way to much work!”

Why do we have that mindset? I mean seriously, how stupid can we be sometimes!

So we all have “this” vision of what we want in life, yet when we strive to do our best and it doesn’t work out in our favor, our minds tell us that WE CAN’T!

Hmmmm… The enemy just loves to put words of doubt in our minds doesn’t he! Gosh, I really hate that guy! Hate is a strong word, but I have no problem saying it about him! He tells us that we’re worthless, to just give up, you can’t achieve this, and so much more. Heck, what about the verbal voices from others! Friends, family, the world! If it’s hurtful and it’s not speaking positivity in your life, then block IT OUT! Do you think that’s going to further your dreams/goals in life? No way man!

If we can just replace our thinking to God’s thinking, and surround ourselves with people who truly want to take us to new levels, who genuinely want success for us, then guess what friends, you can then achieve anything you put your minds too!

Will it take hardwork? Absolutely! Nothing falls in  our laps overnight! You have to work for it! Will you have failures along the way? YEP, but your failures will lead you to the road of wisdom, confidence, and knowledge! Keep going, and WORK HARD for all that you want in life! You’re worth it.

For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

One of my favorite inspirational books is, “Spirit Driven Success” by Dani Johnson. The passage that I’m about to write I have shared with my team many times. Open up your minds and listen to the truth of this:

Too many people in our society have settled for a mediocre life. For one reason or another, their lives have been put on cruise control, and with each passing day, their feelings of emptiness grow. Maybe this is where you are at right now, standing at the crossroads of life. If this sounds like you, if you can relate to what I’m saying, I have an important message for you that will change your life. My words are simple. Don’t you dare put your life in a box! Don’t you dare decide to settle for a mediocre life! Don’t you dare give up on your dreams! Don’t you dare give up on your life! No matter how comfortable you are, no matter how much or how little you have accomplished in life, do not ever stop dreaming. Don’t just do this for yourself, but do it for the sake of your loved ones, for the sake of your spouse, and for the sake of your children. To dare to dream in the midst of adversity, in the midst of failure, in the midst of complacency, is to have hope. That hope, that dream, is a gift from God. It is his way of telling you that he has a plan for your life if you will listen and give him a chance to bring it to pass.

When I read that passage a year ago it truly opened up my heart. It opened up my heart to know that God has a plan for my life. That I’m worth it. Rest in God’s embrace and watch him move in your favor. Don’t let the fear of failure consume you. Don’t let the thoughts in your head drown you. Get out of your “BOX” and walk into the world that God is calling you for. A world full of blessings and prosperity! Give up on giving up! He’s calling you…..GO!

  1. Thanks for the encouragement Ashley I coast a lot, never write lists, never make goals thinking it is spiritual to be lead by the spirit. However I am finding there really does need to be a balance. Really going to try this fall to make plans and follow through not fearing that I might fail. I want abundant life!! Not going to give up!
